Does Santorum Really Care?

How will Santorum’s relationship with God affects his chances of becoming president?

Santorum’s slam on JFK will be counterproductive to getting Democrat voters in Michigan. Santorum has an answer for most things but his motivation is focused on people pleasing to get the vote than be true to a vision. This could backfire on him and turn off Republican voters. Two-thirds of Americans today see religion as “losing influence” in US life, rather than gaining, according to a 2010 poll by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life.

Santorum attacks the U.S. College System. Santorum made an outrageous comment “He [Obama] wants to remake you in his image! That’s why he wants you to go to college”. Would God say “Yes, Rick it is true that Obama only wants citizens of the United States to go through 4 years of college because he wants them to be just like him, you must stop this injustice.”

He went on to label Obama a snob. Why is it humble to go to tech school but stuck up to attend college? What has this got to do with people’s freedom to have a good choice of education options available to them?

To Have Faith or Not to Have Faith in Government? That is the question.

Santorum told ABC host George Stephanopoulos that “the idea that the church can have no influence or no involvement in the operation of the state is absolutely antithetical to the objectives and vision of our country.” The First Amendment, he added, “says the free exercise of religion — that means bringing everybody, people of faith and no faith, into the public square.” This doesn’t make sense. It’s a great ideal but verging on narcissistic. How can you bring people of faith and no faith together in peace when there are people who view their faith as the faith to follow and believe?

Most of our wars throughout history have been caused by division of faith; believers and non-believers. What will Santorum do to heal that divide?

Santorum brings God into his tax plan by arguing that Obama is operating from a “phony theology (one not based on the bible)”. Would God feel angry about tax rates and credits? Because of Santorum’s religious faith, he doesn’t believe in birth control yet teenagers make mistakes and women get pregnant after rape. Why should a multi-child family have a huge tax exemptions? In the U.K. some families have been motivated to have larger families just to get money from the government. Instead of spending that tax credit on taking care of their children, they spend that money on social drinking, gambling and compulsive shopping.

Who cares more Santorum of Romney?

Santorum will hold court just about anywhere that will allow him, including churches, while Romney hosts many of his events at small business and local factories, where he’ll often tour the facility with the company’s owner, founder or CEO before speaking with a group of the company’s workers – and a bank of local TV cameras.

When a reporter mingled with the crowd and approached Santorum after Sunday’s event, the candidate stopped to answer a question about whether he supports raising the minimum wage along with inflation, as Romney has said he does. “I am not in support of that. That’s inflationary and doesn’t make any sense,” Santorum said. “It’s bad policy.”

People have a natural intuition. They don’t know why they know but they just know when someone is in or out of integrity with their political message.
